I have been checking out ebays prices on Discos and accesories and stuff and I don't get it. Maybe you do, if so please explain. Is a '95 stock Disco worth $17k? Why would I buy a used brush bar for $350 when I can buy a new one for $399? Does anyone actually buy and sell stuff there? I don't see it, but maybe I am wrong, it has happened once before.

And every other listing on ebay is for totally useless junk...examples:

Sterling silver valve caps, LR neckties, key blanks, cigarette lighters, key chains etc.

You would think that after running the same ads for two years with no bids that they could figure it out.

oh god. that is just bad. i mean who took the time to do that.
JMcD. i am not swearing by these things and saying they are the shit or anything, so don't go out and buy a set for you and whole family. just saying that 'I' have found an improvement over stock and for the $ they have been worth it.
they are not the low rider blue ones you seen on pimped out neons and civics.
i keep the stock bulbs in my truck in case one blows, but for the past year they have been great. and at $20-$25 they have been worth it to me.

that framed add is funny. I just picked up a Freelander brochure from the dealer - it has about 20 pages. I am currently ripping pages out and framing them for sale on ebay. ebay is like a huge "idiots anonymous" meeting....

garrett, what are they, plug in bulbs? are they the ones that have the blue-ish glow? They may be the shit, I have never tried 'em:)

Hey blue, I'll give ya a c-note for that Freeloader brochure, ok? Check is in the mail....JMcD

they are just the standard bulb......same as stock.....just Xenon gas. they don't have the blue glow. you can get then that way if you like. mine are just BRIGHT WHITE. if you want 'the shit' get the HID lights. they rule.

Are Xenon street legal in all 50? I've seen them and I like them.

Just as much junk on ebay as at your local Walmart or car parts 'super store'. I've purchased LR Genuine waterproof seat covers, used but very clean for $110.00 for a full set. Felt like a good deal. Ebay also a great place for me to indulge my flyfishing addition- bought and sold a number of items including bamboo rods and vintage reels. Where else can I find such a selection in one place? If you are a book collector, great place to search for particular titles. Heck, someone here is selling used LR magazines for $50.00. I sold my Muskie Hunter magazines for $50. on ebay some time ago. Anyway, I've found it a good place to browse and learn and occassionally shop. As usual, buyer beware just like anywhere else....

Like anything, eBay is buyer beware. LR related items may not represent one of those good price breaks. I've found some great deals on electronics, computers, and fly fishing related items. You must know the value of the item and always check the feedback fo the seller. eBay can be fun and actually downright addicting at times...

as far as i know the xenon are street legal. as long as you stick to the 55 watts you are good to go. just stay away from the guido blue lights. stick to the 'white' xenon bulbs.
