Hi there guys. My wife and I just bought a 2000 Disco SE7. I have been following your board for a few months now which has been very helpful. I am a rookie at offroading but hope to get into it soon. It is loaded with stock options but has no mods (Yet). I look forward to putting in some pics soon and no doubt will be asking many questions on the tech boards.

Welcome Jason,
Nice truck, congrats. I am always curious, what does your wife think of your Disco? I am really lucky everyone in my family loves land Rovers, so talking upgrades is always easy! In fact my wife was the one who said we "really need a brush bar". Is that homefront bliss or what? Have fun...

TPH - The wife actually likes the Disco (although she hates the RR and FL). She was hoping our truck would have brush bars and 18" rims. It is black which wasn't her first choice but looks pretty sweet. Think we got a fair deal. 2000 SE7 Fully loaded and only 19000km. Ended up paying 38K (Canadian - which is about 4K US Haha) and traded in a '94 MX3 with 100000 km and no options. Still has 2 years/60,0000KM on warranty as well. As for mods, the price of the truck alone will be enough to keep her from agreeing on too much too soon, but I am thinking long term :)

Jason
