Hey folks, At MAR 2002 this past weekend, one of my friends introduced me to the couple who own the land on which MAR is held. They asked if I would skydive into MAR next year (2003) and get some photos from the air (I'm a skydiving videographer on the weekend). They also want to get some photos of me possibly trailing a banner to send to some LR mags. They said I could jump in a few times if I wanted. I said no prob, so long as we can find a pilot/plane . (No arm twisting needed - any excuse to skydive is good enough for me.) They said that they would clear a grass landing strip on the lake side of that little 'bridge'. (People were camping around the perimiter of this field - I don't know the official name - sorry.) I know we have some pilots amongst us, and probably some plane owners. Dunno if you'd want someone jumping from your plane, but if you're game, I am too. High wing aircraft (C-182, etc) would probably be best. (Although, if you had a nice turbine like a King Air, Twin Otter or Casa, I wouldn't turn it down!!) Since I doubt anyone here has a 'jump door' installed on their plane, I'll ask one of my jump pilots what needs to be done to open the door easily in flight. (I assume just crabbing to the opposite side would be fine.) And wouldn't it be cool to have your own private landing strip in the middle of MAR 2003??? Have your so or buddy drive your Disco to MAR and then fly in.. wow!! I figured I'd throw this out here before exploring other avenues. (Like renting a C182,etc). Let me know what ya think. -Tommy |

Check with the West Point, Va Airport(Small strip 30 min air time to the event site) as there is a skydiving club there I used to jump with(C182,s and otters). I am sure they could help out with a plane or info on local pilots. |

I could get my home dropzone (Skydive Virginia in Louisa County) to fly if I had to. We've got a 'spare' C182 itting around since we jump a king air b90 now. Westpoint is much farther away (east) - Louisa is prob 10-15 mins by air. I've jumped @ west point a few times... nice DZ. I was just laying this out here in case a rover owner wanted to fly in. -Tommy |

I can arrange to have someone pushed out of a moving Disco, RR, D90, D110, Freelander...etc etc for a small fee. I'll just bring along my cousin Vinny from Crooklyn and he'll take care of everything. Hey Tommy, I just saw some pics of women skydiving naked, do you think you can arrange that? |
