Laforza is a hand made truck from Los Angeles. They do look alot like the RR mkII and an Mitsubishi Montero. http://www.laforza.com Kinda funny they put that in the landrover section. I want to meet the person that gave that guy the truck as a "gift."

IMHO, it looks like a Nissan Pathfinder with a Chevy Blazer interior.

"and then Range Rover (which by the way borrowed the design from Laforza)"

WTF? Range Rover, designed in the 60's, first production in 1970, Revamped in the mid-90s, and this company, which got going in 1998, is claiming that the Range Rover is copied from them? True, the "new" Range Rover has come about since, but I'm sure that Rover designers (at the time, BMW) really went out of there way to copy this thing...

"it uses an American Ford V-8 engine and a Chrysler four-wheel-drive system"
"It has a suspension derived from a Fiat-built army truck"

Sheesh......

You can have it....

It looks like a Rodeo from the front, a Pathfinder from the side, a wacked out RR from the rear,a nd some kind of Chevy disaster on the inside. I guess I would feel "special" driving this thing. Are rich people really that out of it that they're so caught up in having exclusivity they don't consider anything else? I'd rather drive about anything, even an Iltis.

This truck gets a rating of 5/5:

YUCK! That thing is hideous. It looks so spartan and unappealing inside, and it looks like the a combo pathfinder/montero/durango/explorer. Even though it is unique, it doesn't look unique, which I thought was kind of the point of having a unique vehicle?!?! It certainly doesn't look like it should cost a lot of money. Why they ever put it under Land Rover is beyond me. I guess the interior *does* kind of look like a RR Classic. BUT UGGGGGG!

someone in downtown Phoenix has a white one of those - used to drive by my old office all the time. Looks like a RR from the rear, but butt ass ugly overall.

They're actually assembled in Escondido, not Los Angeles. Escondido is in San Diego County.

I'll go on record as saying I actually kinda like them. I don't know about the new ones, but they came out with these in the late '80s and I think they were pretty nice, especially for 14 years ago. They look like they'd be OK off-road too. No manual transmission so I never really had any desire for one personally though...

You guys are way off on the LaForza, The Laforza 4x4 is made in Italy in the Pininfarina
factory. It is primarily for military and police use over there. When the company went bankrupt a U.S. based company bought the existing bodys and frames. Then assembled them in Escondido using Ford running gear (302 and trans from the Mustang line).

Follow the link below or do a google search for Laforza.

I guess that Ebay catalogue mix it with Land Rovers because of the oil leak marks you can see in the foto ;-)
