D2 '00. Recently had warning lights from ABS, Hill Descent, and Traction Control come on. Cleaned ABS Sensor. Brakes are good. Manual rec. putting anti-seize on the sensor before refitting. Does this mean goop it on 100%, or apply around sensor leaving the tip clean? Also, how to get the warning lights off - restet? Thanks for any advice. Michael - Portland, OR |

mine resets if I start the engine and put in reverse and drive for about 50m. It is a D1 though. |

I have been driving it for several days, but no such luck with the D2. I was thinking about disconnecting the battery, poss. |

I mean to: start the vehicle, put reverse, drive in reverse straight for about 50m.

You may have a permanent fault, in which case it will never reset itself, and the dealer will have to do it for you (with the testbook). Otherwise driving above 9 mph is supposed to self-check and reset itself. In the D2 manual there is a page describing the combination of lights and what they mean, although mine didn't actually match any of their combos so it was hard to deduce what the code was. Will a generic (autozone) obd reader reset abs fault codes? I just had mine reset at LR but that is 150 miles away. The damn lights came on again. The fault was something about the rear sensors being weak or something to do with the wiring. Any suggestions. |
