Sorry Melissa, just found the site and ordered them today. The guy told me that he makes about $7 profit on them when selling them.

I order all 4 just because I am changing everything else and my '97 has 98k on it, figured I might as well do everything while I am at it.

Wish I could have help out sooner.

Hey Joey,
What kind of coating is that? Is it just stainless steel? Did you get both left and right cat the same size? Did anyone say anything about the headers possibly touching the steering shaft? Just curious.

I ordered the same headers but haven't had a chance to install them yet (doing an engine rebuild), I just want to be prepared for any problems that might come up.

Thanks for the info,

John

John, the coating is (as per their web site):

JET-HOT Sterling™ - Our exclusive formula works beautifully on new or used parts at temperatures up to 1,300°F. This high-luster coating, containing silver powder, shares the brilliance of chrome with the subtlety of nickel. It provides the most brilliant appearance in high-temp, high-tech coatings while delivering major performance advantages. The same basic formula is available in matte black, blue and cast-iron gray.

Yes I got the same size cats for both sides (figured I would go with the smallest size they offered for OBDII. He said if location placement is an issue to go with the round ones not the oval ones.

I talked to Bill Rhodes in Santa Fa NM, he said the only reason I should have concern with the headers touching the steering shaft is if my Disco has the non-U-Joints steering shaft. Of course he said it could still happen, but if it does just add a couple of washers to the drivers side motor mount to fix the issue.

Thanks for the info, Bill told me the same thing.

I think I'll have mine coated matte black.

Send some pics whe you're done with your install.

The only reason I went with the chrome color is it was cheaper...black, blue, gray - was $20 more. Also they told me that the Chrome would just clean up with soap and water if needed (like I am going to clean my exhaust with soap and water), but they told me the painted ones will eventually stain.

Got my cats in the mail Yesterday, the UPS guy put them at my front door instead of my storage bin. Any way, they arrived in one day from date of order. KY to WV

The pic is to show the size of the Cat's. These are OBDII compliant as well.

I would edit this posting, but can't, if a moderator is willing....remove the good deal for the O2 Sensors.... Not such a good deal if they don't fit. Disco 12mm, the ones they sent 18mm....

He is trying to go through his contact though and see if he can get the right part for later use, but right now he does not have them.

He (Bob) stated that if he can get them, they will be less the $90.00

Hope this info still helps someone.
