Has anyone had any experience with the front Differential Track Bar. Went to my local mechanic for diagnosis and that what he told and said and that I would need to take dealership. Any advice or opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Went to mechanic said that the problem is the front differential locator bar. Told me it needs to to be fixed, although he did say that the problem is not dangerours to keep driving it until I got car into dealer. Just will cause irregular wear on the tires. Is there any truth to this? Has anyone had to get this fixed at the dealer? Thank for the help!

Sounds like the panhard rod to me.

What did he say was wrong with it? Bushings, or just needed adjustment?

Panhard rod? Adjustment? Humh..Are D1s came with adjustable panhard rod? B/c mine isnt exactly adjustable. However steering/drag link/tie rod is...

I think mechanic with secretary been talking about that one actually. John how much you paid this bod?

Possible faults - bend, tie rod ends needs to be replaced, steering adjustment needed. Either thing can be done without dealership involvement, unless of course you feels like spend all those money, collected from student loans :-)

Sorry when I said Panhard rod adjustment I should have said to make sure it is not bent and that the bolts a tightened properly or it can and will cause left to right movement causing various issues.

Sorry I was typing and thinking at the same time....bad (at least with out fresh coffee)
