I ordered a pair of universal o2 sensors that are 4 wire. The insert has wiring diagrams for various manufacturers, but do not have Land Rover. The Disco has a black, yellow, white, and black wire. Does anyone know which one is the heaters, ground, signal? 98 Disco LE 4.0. Thanks

Well, after about 2 hours of searching the internet I found the following.

Black (ref)= out
Yellow (ref)= in
Red Heater = +
White Heater = -

My interpretation
Black = ground
Yellow = Signal to computer
Red/White = Heater (not polarity independent)

Can anyone confirm this

No problem Joey. I actually had a much worse problem. I went with the wiring in my prior post and crawled under the truck to give it a try and the damn sensor was too big. Hopefully they will exchange them for the correct ones. I used the 138-318s under their advice. But, in the meantime Joey, if you can find the wiring that you used for your sensors that would be great.

This is not good John, since I went on their advice for the same Part # that is why I posted them as a source....I hate it when I give out bad info. I will call Bob First thing today and make sure we get this sorted out. I have a 8am appt tomorrow with my Mechanic to do a lot of exhaust work and was changing my O2's at the same time.

Hopefully Bob will exchange these with some that will work or give us a refund. I made the mistake of cutting my originals before even comparing them. I had to reattach the wires and reinstall the nonworking sensor. Im waiting for Bob to email me back with what to do next.
