I have a 99 DII with 65K miles.
I took the driveshaft apart and as my luck would have it, it is not going back together too smoothly. The center cup was crap when I took it apart so I greased it up and worked for hours trying to get those little f-ing bearings back in. I finally got them all in but now the center of the DC will not go together. At this point I only have about $30 in it. Should I scrap this one and buy a new driveshaft? Or take it in pieces to a shop and see if they can fix it? Any advice will be greatly appreciated (other than I should have taken it to the shop in the first place).
