I just received a brush guard but when I started to install it I found that I do not have a towing bracket on the front passenger side. I asked the seller if they would mind selling me theres but they were unable to remove it. Where can I find one?
Thanks,
Mark

If it is a Land Rover brush guard, the recovery points are on the brush guard (two holes). When installing it, you remove the factory recovery point on the driver's side (the recovery points on the brush guard replace it). The passenger side doesn't have a recovery point; there's no access panel on that side anyway.

So I guess the question is: what kind of brush guard are you talking about?

Thank you, It is a Land Rover brush guard. I guess I just need to drill holes on the passenger side?
Thanks,
Mark

No holes need to be drilled. As Bill said, the D2 comes with a stock tie down/ tow hook on the drivers' side only. This is removed during install and replaced with one of the brush guard mounting brackets. The other bracket attaches to the crushcan on the passenger side. Since there was no tow hook there, there is no access panel and you will have to cut a hole to access the new bracket. The brush guard does have eyelets welded to the bottom of it, although I wouldn't attempt to tow anything with them - I think they are just used to tie the vehicle down to a flatbed or something. Otherwise, you'll definetely bend the bar, the brackets, and the crushcans.

Thanks, I looked last night from underneath and didn't see any holes. I guess I will see them once I slice the bumper cover.
Thanks again.

This thread has the LR part numbers for the bracket kit and it might answer some other questions that might come up.
