Hi,
First...
When my '99 D2 is off, and its quite out, I can hear a faint sound coming from the ABS pump. It’s a electrical whining sound that has a rhythm. Any ideas?

Second
When in drive, at a stop light, i get a vibration and RPM fluctuation, but it doesn't happen every time.

Finally,
I need to replace my right hand rocker cover gasket. Would i just need the gasket for the Rocker cover and the intake manifold? Any tips would be great appreciated

Thanks in advance for any respones

PS- Anyone know of any good mechanics in the Central NJ area?

I've always wondered about the faint whining noise from my ABS as well, guess its normal? wouldn't think it should run after shutdown, but hey its a rover.... can't help with the others...

Patrick - whir is normal. Mysterious, but normal.

About the rocker cover, have you tigtened the bolts? (12-point bolt heads, use a regular 12 point socket), I heard them being very loose on a few occasions, mine included.

Where in Central NJ are you? I'm in Somerset, near Easton Ave if you know that place (exit 10 off 287). We're doing a pine barrens trip May 1 if you're interested.
