I am a new owner of a 94 Discovery (119k miles) that sat in my driveway for 3 days and all of a sudden I see a fresh puddle of antifreeze. Does this make sense to anyone? It wasn't driven and it seems to have "burped" out approx 6oz from the passenger side. Last week there were a few drops from the driver's side. When I took the cap off the radiator, the level of coolant was even with the top threads of the cap. Could there be an air pocket? Did previous owner have too much coolant? Where could this coolant be leaking from? Hope the pros here can offer some insight. |

That's way too much coolant, if its anywhere near the level of the cap. The coolant should be about half way full. If you look inside (when its not that full) there is a plastic cross that sticks up about half way up. The coolant should be level with the top of that cross. |

I guess it was my bad description - I meant the threads on the smaller fill cap on the radiator itself. The level is about an inch below the cross in the oveflow tank. Any ideas what would cause this to push out the coolant on both the driver and passenger sides of the radiator? |
