In March I made a post about my disco missing when I hit 70mph on the interstate and then running fine when the speed reduced to 55. Well, I replaced the fuel filter and it seemed to run better but there was still a miss there. Though much smaller and less frequent. While I was chaning the manifold, I pulled a plug wire out of the seat. It was completely corroded. Upon further inspection, there were a couple like this. I replaced the plug wires and plugs, which were wore to nubs almost. I think the air gap was around 50. I AM AMAZED at how the vehicle now runs. Incredible.....It is so smooth it feels like a new vehicle. its got 87k on it and this is probably the first set of plugs. It has more power and runs smoother. I filled it up to see if the gas gauge will be affected. I bet the mileage will improve. Now you are probably saying, why didnt he change them before now? Well, dont ask, thats a question ive been asking myself. So as the saying goes, maintanence is the life of any machine.
