Since I own a 99 D2, which likes to keep company with the mechanic, I can't afford to maintain my membership at the health club. As a result, I will no longer be able to open or close the rear door since the hinges are apparently sagging. Who has a good plan for fixing this? I would prefer to do this myself so my Disco doesn't have another sleepover at the dealer. Bud |

Bud, My dealer adjusted mine while I waited and within 30 minutes they were done. Trick is to ask your service advisor to get an audience with someone in the Body Department, then arrange a time where you can drive-in and get it adjusted right away. I was there @ 7:00 AM waiting on them to open, before traffic got them busy. There may be others that offer alternatives, but this worked for me. Good luck. |

Take a piece of 2x4 a jack and jack the door up. Just do it slowly and just a 1/4 of a inch at a time then check it. If you jack the door too high I have no clue how you can get it down. It will only work if it is sagging a little. If it is really bad take it to a good body shop. |
