Has anyone thought of a way to do this? I recently put some spacers from EE to level out my Disco and noticed yesterday the rear end bottomed on some certain bumps (I have had it for a few weeks and this was the first time I noticed) I suppose i need to figure out a way to put some longer bump stops in. Will this bottoming hurt anything? |

I got 4.5" bumpstops from www.ok4wd.com with center bolt. I took off my old bumpstops, cut the rupper off of the bracket, bolted thenew one on, then reatched the bracket to the frame. Works great. 3.5" would have worked also though. |

Matt, are you sure that going over bumps caused your rear end to bottom? Is it possible that your shocks are too short and when going over a bump they are fully extending? Just a thought.

John, my shocks are fine. I have stock rear springs with matched 777 up front and a 1.5" spacer in the rear with OME softvalves all around. It was definitely bottoming. It was on some long speed humps when the rear would come down. I have taken it off road once with my new setup and I did not notice any problems. I cut the ends off my rubber stops and screwed some poly ones into the stock rubber today, so that should take care of it. Thanks Matthew |
