This last summer my disco was overheating, winter came early and fixed the problem for now. But during the winter after a couple minutes of running the engine was running at normal temp in 30 degrees weather, I know it takes longer than a couple of minutes for the engine to be at normal temp. My question is, is this a faulty sensor or is my radiator shoot. |

Peter, so far you have gotten some good advise, but I would like to know, when was the last time you changed the radiator fluid? How many miles on your Disco? Is your fan working properly? On my Disco with the fan removed during the winter months it will heat to normal temps in about 2 to 3 minutes of driving. If I did this during the hot summer, I would overheat. It could also be your water pump blades are worn out. If you thermostat was stuck closed, it would over heat all the time. Hope this helps, Joey |
