I just installed a safari gard steering stabilizer relocation kit on my 95 disco. Does anyone know which way the "L" bracket is supposed to point? Also, the ome stab. looks very close to the oil filter. Is this normal? |

Yeah its normal to be close to the oil filter... I'd bet they screwed up your bracket Tim, I'm wondering how many out there got this kit! I imagine your looking at it thinking the U bolts go the wrong way?? Well thats what happen to me!! So I went ahead and made my own... check em out you'll see a photo of how the L bracket should go.... IMO... unless I'm missing something I think this may be your problem.. http://groups.msn.com/SaundersandCompany/steeringdampnerrelocationkit.msnw |

Thanks Phil. That is actually the way mine looks and the way I installed it. I just noticed the "L" bracket could be rotated toward the front, possibly giving just a touch more clearance from the oil filter. Thanks again for the info. Tim |
