A friend of mine has a 95' Disco.
He experiences problems with the fuel pump. Sometimes it starts sometimes not.
The sound from the pump itself is very low(when it is running) but at my Disco it sounds a lot louder. Maybe a dying Fuel pump?
Also at the connectors of the fuel pump the volts are 5-6. Is that ok? I found while searching in the archives some treads that say the power there must be 5-6V and some other that it must be 12V.

Any thoughts???

voltage is correct (confirmed both in the manual and with Atlantic British). Put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel line schraeder valve and check the start up and running pressures. if any fluctuations, possibly bad pump.

Mine tooka while to die: bad idle, cutting out and finally dead. Search for a rebuild thread or I'll try to find and post the link.
