so i have a good set of 245/75's MTRs sitting around (i went to 33's on the RRC) and the wifes DII needs a new set of meats- can i fit these on a stock suspension set up with out rubbing the front bumper? also- will one fit on the spare tire carrier, or do i have to flip it first?

i have 245/75s on my stock sprung DII with no problems.

That's a good question about the spare, Jon. I am considering the same thing for my D2 except they are all-terrains. I'm not sure if they will fit on the spare though. What do you mean by flipping it?

You will probably have to flip the tire carrier to get the new spare to fit. It should at least rubb the bumper on opening the door as it is now.

That is removing and turning over the tire carrier with a small amount of easily done modification to the tire carrier. See the EE website and they have an entire how to on this topic.

My spare fits but I think it rubs a bit on the bumper. I did not flip the tire carrier.

Different brands of tires are slightly different in size. I'm using Big-O XT's.

rubs- i had to let all the air out to clear the bumper, so i gotta flip it. they rub the bumper in a decent turn also-
MTR's must be a lil bigger.
