I know I've read this stuff before somewhere, but couldn't find it.

We changed the fuel filter in teh RRC last week by hitting the inertia switch to stop the fuel pump. We thought we could do the same in the Disco, but unfortunately learned otherwise. What is the best way to de-pressurize the system? I don't want fuel spraying all over the place!

Also, we have the serp belt diagram, but couldn't figure out what the tensioner arm was to de-spring it? help?

I don't know if this is the best way to do it, but here you go:

I wouldn't go through pulling the relay and running it.

Open the gas-cap, then, if you look on the passenger side fuel-rail, there's a cap covering a schrader valve (like a tire valve). Cover it in a rag, and push in the center pin, it will alleviate the pressure in the system.

Relay way is kind of more complex than it has to be. Just get fuse out, run engine till it dies. Off you go :-)

I just turned off the engine and pressed the schrader valve (with a small container to keep the spray down) and just changed the filter. Now problem.

Oh about tensioner. Its pulley nearly right under alternator. To get it down you will need thin wrench with long handle. Get wrench on the bolt at the side of pulley and push it to the right. It will go lower and release tension. Mind them fan blades - i broke mine when i was doing it first time.
