I apologize for the cross-post, but I suspect that my chances of finding someone to help me in this forum are greater since it gets more traffic. I'm a bit baffled as to how the bracket and guard attach at the top of the rear diff. Can someone with one of these snap a pick of the TOP of it for me? I would really appreciate it, thanks. This is on an 88 RRC, but whatever you can show me will help. I need to install this before Sunday. -Dave |

I dont have a pic but I do have the QT guards. Not sure if this is the same problem as you are having but I to couldn't get the bracket/ guard to line up either, so I just only bolted it to the bottom of the 3rd member and it has held there for some substantial hits without any problems. The bracket doesnt seem to be that beefy anyways, so I figure it cant be that important. |

Thomas it is important - its there to prevent potential rattling of guard against diff housing. David - i got QT guards, but they currently off, since i am keep fiddling with vehicle. Whats the problem you experiencing? This bracket (one that looks greyish) is going onto top of housing. You need to get bracket that holds brake tubing off. Then QT bracket goes onto bolt at 12 Clock and next one at the right side (so it will share one bolt with brake tubing bracket). Then you just put brake tubing bracket on, bolt everything. Then it takes some cursing to get guard bolted to bracket. However there is cheating way to do it. You can put bracket in place, but bolt it to diff guard before bolting bracket to housing. Thus you will get some slack and installation will be easier |

I guess its been "rattling" against the diff casing for over a year with no ill effects. I personally dont think there is any serious drawbacks.
