Well i just looked under truck to inspect if my new lovely oil seals do their job. And nope - they seems to be leaking. Slower than old ones but still do. Its drawing me maaaad :-(

Question - does anyone here know what can be used in place of OEM grease (i am utterly sick of oil - tried everything, incuding lucas heavy duty)? I.e are there anything that i can pick up in local shop, b/c its mid-week and there is pretty much zero chance of me getting OEM one before next week :-(

Use Lucas Hub or Gear Oil. Land Rover had that big campaign years ago promoting the grease...Now a bunch of the dealers wont even touch the stuff.

Any litium based CV grease will be as good as the LR product. Just check that your inner oil seal (on the inside of the swivel knuckle - diff side)doesn't leak. Mine was and it kept on washing the grease out.

Thanks folkz.

Will - i tried to use heavy duty stabilizer (none of local Lucas distributors carries their gear oil) but it seems to heat up on long runs and leaks pretty easy :-( Just got their grease, it looks promissing. After all i can always take damn thing apart and wash grease out if i dont like it :-) Wouldnt be first time :-)

Glad to hear you found something...If your swivels are leaking that bad it may be time to break em down though.

Well thing is - it leaks via outer seal, and they both replaced - meaning that housing itself basically worned away. So if grease wouldnt help much, i guess i will bug you to get me "new" used housings :-)
