Reversed spare tire on 95D1 and since I had the steel wheel it came with a wheel cover. I just extended the bolts out a little and reset the cover and the wheel. My question is by having the tire reversed has any one found this puts more stress on the tire holder than was intended? |

Ryan, I'm sure the reverse mounting puts more stress on the carrier. Too much?, who knows. I moved up to 265/75R16s and the spare has caused the door to sag slightly, not beyond use, but it drags a bit on the catch when closing. The worst thing I see with your setup is the increased danger in bumping the spare and causing damage to the rear door. |

O, and what size bolts did you use for the extension? |

There is enough room back there for the CB antenna and mount without reversing the spare tire. For a DI: http://www.discoweb.org/cbantenna/ For a DII: http://www.expeditionexchange.com/cbantenna/ Matt |
