When I got my disco a few years back the bottle jack was in one of the side compartments in the cargo area. I am in the process of putting some tie downs in and it just dawned on me that this is probably not the default location for this thing. If I am correct then please tell me where it belongs. Thanks |

under your hood. facing your truck from the front, to the right of your power steering pump reservoir. should be a wheel chock there. it sits under the wheel chock. |

This may sound bad, but I was wondering what that black thing was that goes on top of the jack....a wheel chock. Has anyone used this, and does it work well, or would I be better off with some better wheel chocks, I have been looking at picking up a couple. Sorry James, didn't mean to tack on or steal the thread, but I am just curious. |

Joey, I've had my D1 for 8 years and never used the chock or the jack. I've always used other jacks. Original probably doesn't even work now..I guess now's a good time to go check it out.. |

every time you jack up your truck you should use the wheel chock...if you jack up the rear put the chock in the front. its to prevent accidental rolling. also if you are jacking up for example the left rear put the chock on the front right tire...cheers |
