I just put new Cooper Discoverer ST 265/75s on my unmodified '01 D2. Yes I will be placing new springs and shocks soon. At the tire store, no rubbing anywhere. Sitting in my driveway and driving forward, no rubbing anywhere. Backing up, both front tires rub quietly when the wheel is turned over about half way. Of course, between my wife and my 11 and 8 year old kids we can't see exactly what is rubbing with the truck in motion. What rubs doesn't bother me. That it rubs only with backing does. Is there something wrong up there that would cause this or is it normal to rub only in reverse with close fits? |

I think that 265/70/16 is the largest size to fit a non-lifted D2 without rubbing...I have them on mine with no problems... |

265/R75 must have 2" lift. try and do anything under that or a you are a pillock, should you be tempted to do knuffen until under professional - advice so be warned |

Reverse the clip as follow - it will reduce your rubbing a lot but not eliminate it:
