I have a 1999 Discovery Series II and the cruise control has stopped working. The fuse looks good. I checked it. Was in a small fender bender back in the fall but it was very minor. Just cosmetic damage to bumper. Anyone have any advice? thanks Aubrey

As Pugsly said, check the hoses. 90% of CC failure is vacuum or hose related. From the throttle pot, a hose leads to a T-piece. One end goes through the firewall to a poppet valve on the brake pedal.

The other hose from the T-piece goes down to a little vacuum pump located down behind/under the driver's side headlamps (at least on the D1). Track yours down. If the hoses are good the pump may have been damaged or simply come unplugged.

Rover was particularly nice in this regard. You can usually snip off the damaged bit and re-attach two or three times before you finally have to spend $3 on some decent, 'murrican-made vacuum hose.

I'd bet my next paycheck on the vacuum hose, (i'm a stay @ home dad), but none the less that's prolly it.
