I was thinking about getting Rovertyme sliders for my D2 and ran across this photo on their web site. I like the way it's set up. Not overly agressive, but looks like a good combination for on and moderate off road use. Short of me calling Rovertyme, does anyone have a guess at the size/make of tires and how much they lifted it?

Looks like 265/75/16 with no lift. I've got that tire size but have much more clearance in the wheel wells due to a 2" lift. That truck must have some rubbing.

Jamil, nice photo, how do you like the sliders. I want to get the nerf bars too, tho I've heard you can tweek them in a side impact situation. I like the idea tho of using them for access to the top of the truck. (And for my 4 & 6 yr. olds...)

John,

There are a lot of folks, including me that love the Rovertym product.

I have heard that as well. But then again, if you try hard enough, you can just about break anything. I have hit mine several times and not one single problem, dent, twist, or anything. Good and solid these things are.

Here's a pic of RTE Sliders on the Pig:

John,
The old verson of th RTE sliders was a L bracket bolted on from one side, so that's why people say they can bend. I just had mine put on last month and there are two pieces now. The L bracket slider and then another L piece that bolts on from the other side. They are great sliders and I love them. Just understand that they are sliders and not something you can slam the truck down on. They are not designed to rest the whole truck weight on, although some people have successfully done that.

Jamil

Okay, I can't back that up. I'm just so tired of that old nerf bar debate. Just doing my part to fuel the fire!

This from a guy who doesn't even have sliders installed.

LOL
