I've heard some of the dealers are worse than others. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with LR Northpoint. How about Bear Valley LR, they are the local indep. shop. Thanks for any feedback. | ||

What are you looking to get done? Do you want to buy or repair? I used LR Northpoint b/c the people there are great (mostly warranty work). LR Buckhead...well you get the Buckhead attitude. Mike (LR Northpoint) in parts is great. He was my service rep for a long time. He knows his stuff and won't go for the "extra repair". As for BVLR, I don't know about service. I tried to purchase a vehicle from them but the are FIRM on prices or they were FIRM that particular day for some reason. There's a certain shop in Buckhead on Roswell Rd. Stay away, far away. James, I see you are a Cumming man like myself. Where abouts are you? I am 2 miles East of GA 400 off of Exit 13. Like Jack said do not go to the shop in Buckhead on Roswell Road called Road Britannia. I only had one experience with LR Northpoint and it was good. There are quite a few guys in the area who prefer that LR dealer over the three LR dealers in the area (Buckhead, Gwinnett, Northpoint). I work near the Gwinnett dealer so I go there for some issues. I also go to Trans-it Transmission and Automotive Repair which is at Hwy 9 and McFarland Road behind the Sonic Drive-thru. There are a few friends of mine who swear by LR Northpoint so I think you will be just fine with them. Are you under warranty? | ||

Oh yeah and I went to Bear Valley (BVLR) once for service and they ended up being the same price if not more than the dealer so I have not been back. Might as well go to the dealer if there is no price difference. I was upset with the dealer because somehow when I take my truck in with 51,000 miles on it all of a sudden I have three leaks (and I am only 1,000 miles out of warranty). There is also a place next to BVLR called The German Mark. They fix LRs but I do not know anything about their work. | ||

I personally prefer Land Rover Gwinnett, but all three dealers (Gwinnett, Northpoint, Buckhead) are great. If you go to Gwinnett, talk to Michael White. He's a great guy and super easy to work with. | ||

Thanks for all the input, no warranty so the $$ is all coming out of my pocket. Robb: I live a little past exit 17 just off 400 (Hampton Subdivision). |
