Anyone from Charlotte going to be out driving today. I pulled out 3 people yesterday just on my way home from work and thought I'd go out today and help some more.

Let me know if you want to meet up!

Ken

How much you get? We got 13" here in the University area. I'll be taking my wife to work Uptown & be out & about in the north.

Got about 14" at the house in Concord. The drive into work(Harris/I-77) this morning was uneventful. Roads are in good shape in my opinion. Not much snow really to drive thru unless you hit a secondary road; even then it is pretty slushy.

We got around 13 here in Ballentyne area.
I have been out for a couple of hours this morning and have pulled out 4 or 5 people including a UPS truck.

I didn't think to get a pic but my wife took one from inside while I was hooking up the strap and while I was pulling him out.

I should have Aaron. He asked me what I wanted for it but I was just out there to help. The guy had been out there since 4am and no one could come help him. There was another guy there stuck right along with him so he had some company.

Bob, I may go up to 4 wheel parts if they are open but that would be as far north I am heading today. I am going to try to get my daughter out for some sledding later.

Ken,

I am LMAO! I just showed the guys in the office your pics. Very Cool. Only Rover guys would go out "cruising" in 13 inches of snow. LOL!

I'm here in South Charlotte right now... This snow is lots of fun to drive in... and I'll go ahead and admit to partaking in some donuts in the parking lots.

We've had some snow here in Reno. You can tell Baseball season is starting, the weather turns to shit. It's like a rule or something...

That's the part that makes me look forward to football season even more!

Damn, now I wanna put the pads on now...

I just came from Boone, NC, and we had around 12 inches. I think Charlotte got the grunt of the storm though. I heard it was the third most accumulation ever for Charlotte!

My dad was cruising around in my 109 all day on Thursday. The 109 went like a champ.

Greg Davis! You honked at him and scared the shit out of him. Of course, I heard about it. Next time, get up right next to the window and let loose a loud noise. Hehehehehehehe.

Yea, I am down here in SC and we got a inch. But they closed school so it was all I needed.

Made a run up I-85 north....2:00 am Friday morning....Took might near 3 1/2 hrs to get to Greensboro form Charlotte...
Had to back track down the entrance ramp just south of the Yadkin and cross the river using old hwy. 29 to get around the first snag, Then ran in to a whole cluster of trucks cars blocking the interstate there about Thomasville. It was like negotiating one of them Corn mazes..Did have a guy in a little Toyota truck tagging behind me for a bit when I was blazing trail though when I broke out at the front of a three mile tangle of trucks and cars there was no sign of him......????? Oh well..

That's great Dave. Sounds like you had fun!

It was bad in Charlotte around noon on Thursday. Everyone left my office but me to get home and ended up sitting in traffic for 2-3 hours. Some were only going 5 miles to get home.

By the time I left most people were off the roads except those that were stuck.

There is a god and I have made him mad at some point. Spent all of the last week and weekend with broncitis. Outside the snow piled and then slowly melted, it was torture. Heard they had 11 inches in the sandhills, what a great trip that would have been.

Damn!

Hehe. Sorry Max. He's kind of jumpy, isn't he?

Pulled about 6 out Friday. Mostly from driveways and neighborhoods.

Sorry to hear you were sick Dan. That had to be torture. The closest thing I can relate to that is taking my wifes car up to Michigan in Jan. and them getting over a foot while we were there.

All that snow and I didn't have the truck.

Get better!

Greg,

Yep. Just about everytime he drives my 109 he says, "That big Silver Disco two honked at me!"

I say keep on honking at him. He drives my 109 everytime it snows because "If it slides off the road and into a pole it doesn't matter". My heart stops everytime he says this.

lol! Thanks Dad!

Hey just had an idea. Because we are shifting the print dates for Old Reliable to Spring - Fall from Winter - Summer, I am trying to put together a baby issue for the spring, end of March, to put us on the right cycle.

I am trying to put together a "Carolina Winter Storms" piece. If you have a couple of pictures you are proud of and a any text/story to go along with it, you can send it to me at the email on the profile or to oldnorthstate@hotmail.com.

Thanks,

Dan

P.S. Thanks Ken, for a while I thought I would have to die to get better!
