a fellow is selling these on ebay, and I've seen them elsewhere before - but I cannot remember the official name for them (if I want to search the web to buy different lengths, etc). I think they would be really slick in the loadspace.

Pugsly: here in the states Bloomfield Manufacturing makes a version called the Slide-N-Lok, which has an aluminum load bar with spaced indents which accept a sliding hook. The hook locks into the indents.
They come in clear anodized or black, in 7", 22", 68" and 93" lengths.
I'm trying ti figure out how to attach them in the back of a 1991 RRC.
www.hi-lift.com: yes, they also make the Hi-Lift jack.

The Slide'N'Lok is not quite the same thing - I checked that out also. The one pictured is an aviation product as the seller states, also used in moving trucks. I put a strip in the back of my Classic (credit goes to Han):

Now you see it:

Now you don't:

And very strong:

I used the seat belt mounts for the forward attachment points.
