I went out at lunch today to look at a D2 at a local dealer and bought it! It's a 2000 model, with pretty much every option. Seven seater, dual roofs, cold climate, HK stereo/CD, ACE. Top it all off, it's bright mettalic orange.

Take delivery tonite...can't wait!

My wife's DII is Kinversand, lovely color in my opinion. You don't see nearly as many of them running around, it kind of makes it stand out in the crowd. Congrats!

Thanks all. Real bummer is I had to go out of town so momma has it. She's having a lot of fun with it though. That bright orange really stands out in the parking lot. I bought it from a Saturn dealer, who has a guy purchasing off lease cars. I guess that means I don't get the warranty eh Alyssa? It's a little bit noisier that my 99 S-blazer, but it is so much cooler! Found this site and realized I was missing out on a lot of fun!!

One question I guess is where can I get a code reader for diagnostic purposes? How much should I expect to pay?

Does it already have codes??
Autozone or the like can read it for free when you get one. If you are looking for more diagnostic stuff, do a search here for OBDII or just OBD and there are a number of threads with some good references. I bought one for $125 but I know there are cheaper ones.

I searched for months before I finally found my kinversand '99 DII. It was the only color I really wanted though, so it was well worth it. I thought that LR only made that color in '99. Am I wrong? Anybody know how many they imported in that color? I heard 100, but don't know if it's true or not?

When they were new at the dealer (K-Sand), that was the hardest color to sell. Now, it's a hot color. Check with your local dealer for Assured Warranty. You must get it. It's even available for an additional 36,000 miles, depending where you stand in relation to factory warranty.

Jack, my brother-in-law is a LR tech and he said they only made it in '99.
