Funny thing is, that 90 is supposed to be brand new and never titled, but look on the main picture on that auction...the wipers are already crooked and appear to be mis-aligned.

On my 94, I recently noticed that my wipers are like that and was planning to adjust them but I guess I won't anymore as it ruins the "stock" appearance.

Gotta love british QC.

Ahh David & Stephen at it again. Here's their old website: http://www.landroversforsale.com/
FWIW, I've only heard bad things about these guys, but never had any personal dealings with them.
Caveat emptor!

I think I actually saw this truck's bidding go as high as $59,000 the last time it was on ebay. Looked a bit odd to me.

For that price i'd have one of these built and imported, better than brand new. My personal dream defender, Tomb Raider 110 Crew Cab.

I figured they'd think it was worth a fortune. It definitely is a one of a kind truck though. Do those 2 guys own it or are they consigning it? Anyhow, damn nice D90!

Actually, it's one of 300 or if you really look at the big picture, it's one of thousands... the only real difference is the number plate that you can buy blanks on eBay for $60.00. Then you can have it engrave 1 of 1...and you are stylin....

From the EBAY listing:

Limited Diamond Edition

Can someone explain that to me?

I really like this vehicle and have checked out the listing more than once today. But damn man, $66K?

There's a '98 Desiel Hummer (the real one) one Ebay for $30K. Something like 64K miles on it. That deal seems more realistic to me than the Neal Diamond D90.

Check the site:

If I'm not mistaken, they're referring to the 5-bar Diamond Plate that are all over the LE D90s. However, I don't think that was an official LRNA linggo.

That is funny!

Glenn,

Have you noticed that they are applying the H1 badge on the Hummers now? Pretty Gay if you ask me.

Check out this link of a nice real Hummer:

Leave it to GM to fuck things up man... The Hummer is such a pure, basic and utilitarian 4x4 and just because "the market demands it" (read: all the wannabes that want to grow some hair on their chests want it, but god forbid they don't have the "modern conveniences" and softer faggoty lines) they had to bastardize it with the fucking H2.

My next door neighbor has a "real" hummer, diesel, 38" swampers, 12,000# winch, lights, snorkel, roofrack and god only knows what else he's got in there. But he cringes and kinda gives me grief when he sees me "trashing" my "Range Rovers".... I usually just give him and give him credit for at least driving the right hummer

Paul, Glenn is correct. They are referring to the (euro pattern) diamond plate slapped all over the vehicle, but there were several D90 wagons in '97 that came with diamond plate, not just the final 300 LE's which were all Willow (color). Typical of those clowns – most of their “facts” are BS and used as hype to woo ignorant potential buyers. They annoyed me from the beginning by the way they overused exclamations!!! and the word “rare” or “investment” in their ads.
It always makes me laugh when I hear someone spouting about how limited and rare their D90 is. THEY ALL ARE.
There is nothing special about that Defender. Yes it was a limited edition, and the last of 300, but so what. The 500 110's are rare, the last 100 '94 D90's (leather seats, all black) were rare, the 40 '94 hardtops are rare, the handful of '94 test colors are very rare, the 500 '95 wagons are rare, hell there were only 107 Portifino red '97 SW's like mine produced. Does that make mine more rare than #300 of 300? Maybe, but I know better. There were around 7000 NAS D90's compared to (?) produced total in the UK over the years. They are all rare - get over it.

Glenn,

That is some funny shit!

Glenn,

understood...

Fortunately, business decisions have little or nothing to do with "Purism" and the opinions of a small number of enthusiasts (such as myself!) who actually use their vehicles in various terrain conditions.

I much prefer H1, as well !
