I'm sending my rover in sometime in the next couple of weeks to have some work done (i.e. some minor dents, rust in the footwells will be cut out, new tailgate, headliner, and paint) I have the savannah beige (brownish gold) paint right now with the brown interior. I need advice as to the color to paint my rover. I know the final decision is mine but some advice from my fellow roverites would be great. Should I paint it despite the interior wont match or should I change out all the interior parts to match the paint. What would you guys do? Thanks in advance.

Just be cautious who you have do the paint work bro. Make sure that if you paint another color that the door jams, etc. are included in the bid. I know the shop I worked at always charged quite a bit extra for that, and wouldn't always include it in the original bid, but add it on after the job was underway and the customer asked for it. A compleat paint job could cost anywhere between $2,700 - $4,000, depending on the vehicle and amount of body work, for a decent quality paint job. That's subjective depending on what the shop rates are in your local area of course.

Also find out what kind of paint they use. Maaco's paint is only guerenteed for a year, where as PPG Global, Sikkins, Diamont, and a few others are guerenteed for life against fading, oxidizing, etc. Some like the finish of Dupont, but it can become brittle after a while, which isn't good for a trail rig.

Personally I'de request a shop that uses PPG Global, and request their high solids clear. It's durable with a good shine, and can be buffed out over and over again.

Also lighter colors will show imperfections less, and yellow just looks cool! Post a pick when your done man.

Good Luck,

Ry

I'll second that option, my Disco 1 will someday probably be sprayed that color.

Mine is willow green, old pic, just after I bought it, and no mods, but the only one I have where it's not covered in mud!

Hmm... resizing made the pic all funny... but you get the general idea. here's a side shot, it was overcast, so it looks a little darker
