I'd still take it. It'd make for a good project. Does anybody know what it went for?

yeah, it looked like an easier fixer upper. You'll take a real hit on price selling and insuring a car with a salvage title won't you?

Cheers

It's got Texas plates on it with Land Rover Austin plate covers. I wouldn't mind having a salvage titled Defender.

Why? For a few thou more you can get a d-90 that hasn't been hit.

A project like that could become quite the money pit....

Steve, I think it went for 6K... but the auction wasn't for the vehicle...

The D90 was being auctioned at some undisclosed location. You had to put your highest bid on eBay (which was a little over 6K) and they would go to the auction and bid for you (up to 6K). They would then charge you a fee for bidding on your behalf up to 2K $. Pretty slick, huh...

BTW, a nice AA Yellow D90 sold (half a mile from my house) in NY for 16.5K. It was in pretty good shape, never ever off-road, two tops, new tires and a few other extras. If I didn't have 4 Rovers right now I would've bought it.
