My first time to Moab... what an adventure! You guys that live there (or close to it) must be in heaven!

Anyway, I thought I would share my story and gazillion pictures with my friends here:

Awesome trip report, Bill! A few of us from our local club were just in Moab with Bill Burke for trail leadership training a few weeks ago. On our last day, we, too, crossed the Delores river and took the side trails on to Rosegarden Hill and came out through Onion Creek. What a hoot! I hope I can remember all of those side trails on that particular run; fantastic scenery! You gotta love his parting gifts, too!! Thanks for sharing your photos and memories. Yes, Moab truly rocks.

Very Cool Bill!!!!
I want to ask who's in this Disco: http://www.houstonlandroverclub.com/photos/moab_2004/DSCF0687.jpg ???
I would love to see a closer look at his roof rack, and the way it attaches to the roof bars.

Thanks Petros

Petros:

That's Kai's. He's a member of D-Web too. He made the rack specifically for this trip.

Here's his bio page if you want to email him: http://houstonlandroverclub.com/mp_kai_dussling.html (his email address is on there...)

It is. That's Josh's dog... he has three of them: "Dixie", "Dudley" and "Dax". She'd point long enough for me to get the camera turned on, then she'd stop before I could snap the picture. Bitch.

Damned if I saw any pheasant. I saw dust. Did see a long-horned something or another in the wild. Rabbit, I did see a rabbit. We also saw those deer and sheep, but no pheasant.

Bill, ggrreeaatt documentation of what must have been a great trip. Yes, Moab rocks! Any good trails down Texas way? Come further west to California for your next foray. We've got more variety than Moab. Ray

In Texas, Barnwell Mountain is a great place to wheel with an awesome group running it. Here is a few more places to wheel in Texas. (Texas is not very supportive of our sport)
