I think Peter M has a GC, he might be able to help. You can try 4x4wire or the Pirate board.

There is alot of forums out there for jeep - your friend just has to find one that he likes and that is useful to him.
You could also look up statwide 4x4 forums and find a jeep forum for the state that you live in.

Hope that helps.

If the answer were on google, I would not have asked eh?

Any that are specifically good at technical issues (that you know about at least or have experenced)?

Thanks,

Brian

I have a Jeep and a LR, for me the best of them would be Jeepforum. Jeepsunlimited has more users, but some info is debateable as to its accuracy, lots of new Jeep wannabes. Pirate is really for the guys on the extreme end of things, and they will flame you to death for stupid questions, no place for a newbie.

Agree: I'd stay away from the pirate crowd. They tend to be heavily modified rock crawlers, in many cases they are specialty trailered rigs with mamoth axels, hydraulic steering, etc. Not that their info/interest isn't great, it's probably beyond the average unmodified WJ driver.
I'd stick with the jeepsunlimited.com / jeepforum.com types of sites to get started.
Chuck.. what kind of jeep?

Pansies... The pirate guys have been fine even though I chime in pretty rarely. You just can't be a dumb ass or ask dumb ass questions.

My buddy has a GC.

John, I'm yet to own anything that has a "grand" in its name.
Not even baby grand...
