 Hello fellow discowebbers,
My name is Bill Howell I'm currently stuck in Iraq as a MP in the KY National Guard. I'm missing home and my 96 Disco SE7. I was hoping that someone might have some old magazines or books on land rovers that they wouldn't mind parting with. There is nothing here to read and I'm going nuts. If someone can part with some things, I'll gladly mail some trinkets from Iraq back to them. Saddam money, rugs, etc...
I know this is not a tech thing, sorry for that, but I know this tech section gets read.
 My address is:

 CPL Bill Howell
1103rd MP DET (Law and Order)
Camp Babylon, Iraq APO AE 09332

Please let me know if you are going to send some stuff, so I can do some shopping.

 Thanks to all at discoweb,

 Bill Howell

You guys are great and I know he appreciates, as do the rest of us in the armed forces. If I had any I'd send them but we read some different material on submarines for "entertainment".

Bill from one Cop to another keep your head down and the front sight in focus. America needs you back alive as soon as you're done there. Sounds like you are set with magazines and plenty of reading material. Hook up with Nadin and go wheelin next leave. He probably will meet you at the border. If you need any cop related reading let me know. Can send SWAT magazines or other tactical reading material.

 STAY SAFE !!! Cheers Andy

God Bless you and protect you and those that needs protectin'.
For the job you're doing, I cannot express my gratitude deeply enough. Thank You.

thanks all around! To Bill and his buddies overseas for their work, and to all the folks on Dweb for just helping the fella out with a good read or two. I've been to too many boards and venues where some pin head would take something like this and turn it into a political diatribe.

You don't have to be in favor of the campaign to support the folks doing the dirty work.

Bill, get back to your rover safe.

Co workers son in law is in the Mass 94th Reserve MP unit. For a year he has been in Fallujah where his unit has been running Police Academies with great success. He has developed a close relationship with many Iraqis, learnt to speak Arabic and had a tremendously positive experience. His unit drove back to Kuwait, and was in process of returning to the States (he got to the US in an advance party), when they got the call to return and help the regulars now in Fallujah.
Thank you everyone for going over there.

 Chris,

Interesting info. on Fallujah. Didn't know we had anybody in there for any reason, as that area has always been the most dangerous and hostile.
