I know this is a shot in the dark, but for some time now I have been battling with a battery drain problem in the old truck. At first is was so bad that I could not start the car after letting it sit over night. But after some rewiring and advice about very large ground wires from everything to everything from my mechanic. I still cannot stop the drain all together. If the car sits for 4 days or more it will not start. Also, the headlights and other systems dim or slow down during high voltage activities, like using the turn signal while the lights are on.

My mechanic has been very helpful in almost fixing all these issues (there were more problems before), but this is too much of a hit and miss thing to spend $60.00 per hour on - even if he is a professional.

Any Hint?

Dumb question but what is the condition of the battery? Also how many cold crank amps does it have? Also is your alternator cranking out enough amps?
I just had my wifes car do the same it had 2 dead cells and was under rated for the engine, I also discovered that if a battery drops below 50%? the alternator will not give it a full charge... Not 100% sure on that for Land Rovers but the Mercedes Shop told me that as fact... I replace the batt and it solved the drain. I recommend a Gel be it Optima or Orbit there both just as good... The lead acid will not hold up well if your off-roading much
