OK fellas, I hope to get the paying customer's cars out of the driveway by the end of the weekend and might be able to get started on the Rover. Once I get down to the frame, should I sand blast it or not? I have a friend who owns an industrial stripping shop (sounds bad, eh?) who will give me a deal and use the media of my choice be it sand, walnut shells, PBM, carbon dioxide (probably wouldn't do much for rust), or sodium carbonate. I'll have him use his judgement on the bulkhead so as not to warp it or blow holes in what's left of it. As for the chassis, my thoughts are that if I have him use an aggressive media, anything that gets blowed away needed to be replaced anyway! What have you guys done? Peace, Paul |

new frame or POR 15, problem is they rust from the inside out so a blast won't help as much as you think |

You need to sand blast it and galvanize. If you also wax oiled the inside of the frame it would be incvincible. |

buy a new galvanized frame you will be happier in the long run of things, and probably wax oil depending on where you live and if you will be driving off road or on salty and muddy roads. but definatly new galvanzied frame, the replacment pieces for the frames are shitty and rust faster then they should. |
