Just curious. I can get a set of new stock springs a good bit cheaper than the parabolics. Can get the height from longer shackles.
Ride? I'm assuming the parabolics are better, but how much?
Flex? Ditto.
Welcome anyone's thoughts.

Thanks for the link. I think that resolves that question! I kind of new the answer, but always looking to save a buck. Not worth it in this case, I don't think.
Thanks again,

Enoch ,
Front prop shaft will not clear the crossmember with MOD shackles . Shimming the diff and /or frame mods required with standard springs . Not sure how they would effect a 109.

88 and 109 have the same front prop.

Good stocks springs are actually ok but the ride in parabolics is so nice.

The other issue is that with only the shackles and not the MOD horns the pinion angle on the front is going to be way far down, in the back it is less of an issue.

Enoch,

I have a Military S3 109" with the military shackles and RM parabolic springs. It is a great setup and click below to see the flex :). The RM and mil. shackles was too much lift for the rear and I had to drop it down a half and inch to keep the rear prop shaft from rubbing against the chassis (ouch!). Otherwise the ride is so much better and the flex is great. I also put on OME shocks at the same time and they are great too.

I STILL have not got my rear parabolics on, (painting the top, replacing the fuel pump, new window seals, etc...) But even with only the fronts on, the ride quality is almost... modern, it really is amazing how much better they are than the old style springs.

Thanks for all the comments. It pretty much confirms what I already knew, and that is that there is no comparison between stock springs and parabolics.
