This is for anyone owning an SIII who might be in the middle of a restoration or even thinking about one.

The original bulkhead on my 1974 SIII was beyond repair and a new Series bulkhead was outrageously expensive to buy and ship, even from Rovers Down South. Someone I know had installed an NAS D-90 bulkhead on his SIII and it appeared to be a relatively simple job with only a modest amount of fabricating required. He got his part from Rovers North so I called back in May and ordered m new bulkhead at the cost of a little over $600.

I was working with Arthur at RN and his help was immeasurable. Nonetheless, we were having no luck turning up an NAS bulkhead and the search was made no easier thanks to the recent restructuring of LR by Ford. Finally, in September, Arthur turned up a new part number for late model diesel D-90's. The best part was the price, $349 delivered to VT! At that price I figured it was worth a chance and after finally picking up the bulkhead the other day I can categorically say I really lucked out.

Anyway, excuse my long winded post but here's the crux of it. It looks like Rovers North will be ordering a few more of these parts in the near future so if you're interested give them a call. A word of warning about the price. Arthur said that it's not out of the question that Land Rover UK made a mistake with the price which may change but even if it goes up a couple of hundred dollars it's still an amazing price. Remember, no sandblasting, no POR-15, no welding, NO RUST!!! All for less than the cost of new footwells and door posts!!!

Give Arthur a call (1-800-403-7591) and order one of these babies before Land Rover figures out their mistake!
