A friend just bought a beautiful lightweight, LHD with the 2.24 Diesel. Every little thing works and looks brand new, the militay headlights that cant be seen from a distance, the dash mounted map light - I cant believe it all works and runs and sounds and feels so good ! It is a Dutch model originally, that was imported to FL and then painted a Bahama blue and sent to the islands there for a few years. It has 31K on the original engine. No rust and runs like a mule in 4wd. Has anyone ever seen this truck before, any idea what its realistic value may be?? 5k-10k??I dont know what he paid for it ... but I have to get one.. I would also like to know the provenance. I have now been bitten by the old school landrover bug....

Check with Antiques Road Show ;)

My memory is not that great but I think there is a way to check where the truck was originally sold. Try posting on Guns and Rovers http://pub49.ezboard.com/bgunsandrovers

And even, although I hate to send you there, Rovers North - I like the company, can't stand the BBS.

Welcome to the bug! I am sorry to say there is no cure for the Series flu. Watch you pocket book since it tends to hit there quick and often!

Have Some Fun!

JB,

If you're serious, I can put you in touch with a guy here in MD that imports them regularly for sale.

Tad,

You're not kidding about there being no cure for the bug!! I've had it for a year now.

JB, try doing a search on lrx.com. You'll get a feel for what's out there now and what you can expect to pay.

Javier
