Hello... I am interested in installing an industrial diesel engine into my '67 SIIa. Is this possible, considering that this vehicle is over 25 years old? I am just concerned about emmissions restrictions considering this engine is for industrial applications, not really certified for on highway use. Thanks! Ethan Makarowski '67 SIIa SWB PS: I don't know if this is relevant, but as far as I can see this vehicle will never be registered in CA! |

will depend on the state you live in mostly. Some states dont test anything so it wont matter. Call your DMV . . . Not a swell idea to use an industrial diesel as they arent well suited to automotive use. Depending on the motor, it could produce vibrations severe enough to crack your frame!! Many light industrial diesels come in an automoive version which is a better route to take. -Regards -Ike Goss (SII w/ cummins) |
