My 1.6 is siezed. Here is what I came up with to unstick it.

Air hammer(chisel) on the top of a piece of wood hammering down on the cylinders?

Also how can I tell which cylinders are on the way up and which are on the way down?

On my 2.25, when you get the pulley's mark lined up, I knew I was at TDC.... thus, I could reference off of the timing mark's distance from the vernier to figure out where cyl 1 was... then, it would be possible to figure out where the other cylinders were in relation to it...

I dunno if the same would apply to a 1.6's timing, though....

Hmmm...........
