Anyone have one of these on their rover. Which way is it in for off?Heater Valve

I have had one of those bastages on every British car I've owned/own. I believe they are always in a constant state of malfunction....typically always open, unless its winter of course.

and my solution was to placew a manual valve in place from Car quest part number 277952 for $18. I can't adjust the heat from inside the car but .....

My solution is like your second one above...although I am sporting the Nibco variety ball valve.

I just pulled the trigger on that valve and plan on installing it on my truck. Have you used it and what is your experience with it?

Yep I have had a number of them. They were Ok but I ultimately did the ball valve conversion for max flow (heating) and reliability. At any rate you'll be back to original config and be able to adjust from the inside again...from warm to luke warm IIRC :-)
