I have a series III 109. I want to remove the rear tub, how do I do this is there anything I should look at or be aware of. I need to patch my frame up and once I have the body off I might try replacing some panels and straightening others. |

if you got a five door then remover the hard top completely. if it is a pickup then this will save a lot of work and lifting. the bolts holding the tub in place are probablly going to break off so protect your hands and knuckles. unplug your rear wirring harness. unbolt at rear cross member, unbolt at underside out riggers, unbolt at rear of seat base, unbolt seat belts, unbolt sills, ublolt everything that needs to been unbolted. when welding protect the wirring harness that runs along the chassi rail. dont expect this to be done quickly as you will be into a lot of work. and will most likely see other things that need attention while your at it. |
