Ok I have a 1966 109 Series IIa SW. It was POS ground now NEG ground. The harness has been hacked more than a Friday the 13th victim. I bought a new harness but have not installed it yet. In the mean time....

Installed a 2 wire delco alt and fried it. Remove wires and start again. Found a one wire alt and installed it.
So.... Take the one wire to terminal D on the regulator and -for now- one wire from A to positive battery terminal. Should this work?
Please explain the regulator to me. I think A A1 & F are power out, D power in and E is ground.
I'll get around to the 2 wire Alt and new harness when I find a warm day or garage. I've followed the LR wiring diagram but in my dash, I have more wires than in the diagram, and due to age, they are all now brown. I have no instruments nor the brain power for electrical. I did however figure out the water temp gauge which scared me until I realized its not in F degrees but in C..
Thanks for your time
Sean
