Greetings: New to this board but not series trucks. The question I have is: I just attempted to install NOS M-11's on my 1971 SIIA. (Had superwinch hubs) The body of the hub went on fine, when I went to bolt up the end piece it wouldn't bolt up, the end of the axle comes in contact with the inside of the end piece. (Lacking about 1/4") So what's up? This is the right hub, any suggestions/comments? Thanks, Chuck |

cut the end off the axle (this is a PITA as they are hardened). They came with very thick gaskets which make up the difference.

Hey Chuck! Just sell those hubs to Ike and keep the original solid hubs! Took off my FWH six minths ago and have found no difference in gas mileage, speed or handleing. Plus you don't have to get out on a muddy road to lock 'em! Art 1960 sII "Aardvark" |

Thanks Gentlemen, I just ground off the "nipple" on the end of the axle. The Mikita angle grinder made short work of it without getting anything real hot. After the "minor surgery" everything went together as designed. Chuck |
