So I may be looking for a good deal on a used Kubota or whatever, so that I can do clearing work etc... nothing big, not a farm tractor, but a personal tractor for 1+ acres. But, then I remembered that the IIa has a PTO connection. First, is it usable in this modern world. i.e. - is the spline compatable with modern tillers, mowers, etc? Are there adaptors? Second, does it work with an overdrive attached? Third, tractors are expensive, but if I compare the price of getting a PTO set up with the Rover and actually making it work - would that be worth the price? Anyone with knowledge in this area out there? Thanks |

That's what I am thinking, but $$$ And, if I get the new trans with high ratio gearing I will be able to use the PTO on the back. But I guess I actually need to sell my house, move into the new house with the property, then have an excuse to buy one... Just checking. |
