I recently experienced the following problem. When trying to start my '02 D2, I got silence, nothing, nada. I called Land Rover recovery thinking I would have to be towed. He told me to get out of the vehicle, lock it with the key, then the lock remote button. Following this, I had to open it with the key and then the remote button, get into the Disco, put the key in the ignition, turn it to the first position, wait 10 seconds and sure enough it started. He said that the alarm probably didn't set correctly, causing the starting problem. The same thing just happened again. Anyone experiencing this? I will call Land Rover service to have them check it out. At least I didn't have to be towed. |

Mitch, If you post this on the "Discovery - Technical Discussions" page, you'll get an answer.... this "Series Rovers - Tech and General" is for the old Land Rovers, with the spare tyres on the bonnet, etc. Good luck w/ the problem, BTW.... never had that problem w/ the Disco, but, mine wasn't a D2, it was a D1.... -L |
